Social Investment
Corporate social investment.
Blue has operations in rural and urban areas of Cameroon, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
We are therefore ideally suited to make a difference in the social and economic landscape in which we operate, and have a defined social mission to empower the communities where we have a presence.
It is our belief that socially responsible micro-financing should be an effective catalyst for financial liberation, community development and the self-fulfillment of individuals.
And, although the Group’s product offering has, by default, a direct social impact on communities at large, we also contribute approximately 10% of our after tax profits to corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives. These initiatives are aimed at effecting sustainable and measurable change, although the return on investment need not always be financial, but could be educational or social.
